4. COMPLAINT MECHANISM

The Ethics Committee serves as a body where all employees can consult about situations they find suspicious and dilemmas related to ethical issues, in addition to evaluating violation reports. Furthermore, it is open to all suggestions from our employees to raise ethical awareness in our community and to take preventive measures to avoid ethical violations.
In reports submitted to the Ethics Committee, provided that the reporting employee does not make reports in bad faith, the report will not have any negative consequences for them, and any report made will be kept strictly confidential under the assurance of the Company’s Ethics Committee.
Complaints and notifications to the Ethics Committee are handled under confidentiality principles and investigated, with every stage of the investigation documented. The Committee has the authority to request any relevant information, documents, and records from any unit regarding the matter under investigation. The Committee takes the necessary measures to conclude investigations quickly and, if necessary, consults experts or specialists, while respecting confidentiality principles, to ensure a fair investigation. Reported or identified rule violations may be resolved by the Company’s Ethics Committee, referred to the Company’s Disciplinary Committee, or to the Higher Ethics Committee without the involvement of the Ethics Committee, depending on their nature and impact, as determined by the Chair of the Ethics Committee. Unless proven otherwise, the Committee assumes that each employee acts in compliance with ethical rules. An employee who has been reported for unethical behavior will be given the opportunity to express themselves. During the investigation process, until the allegations are substantiated, it will be assumed that the employee in question has not committed any violation.
When a complaint or request for consultation is submitted to the Ethics Committee, it convenes at the invitation of any of its members. The Committee may invite individuals it deems appropriate to meetings in order to obtain information on specific issues. The Chair of the Ethics Committee is responsible for implementing the Committee’s working principles.
